Subject: Public Interest Law Association

Description: PILA is designed to help pre-law students enter into the public interest field through information sharing, networking, and mentorship. We work to help students explore public interest law opportunities, including impact litigation organizations such as the ACLU, Democracy Forward, and Lambda Legal; government roles, including public defenders and prosecutors; and plaintiffs and civil rights law firms.

This is the UChicago Chapter of the National Organization PILA. Members join and can opt-in to organize their community at UChicago. They also gain opportunities to connect with other members of the PILA community, access exclusive Zoom meetings with public interest lawyers and law students, and do meaningful public interest organizing in their local communities.
