Description: La Mesa DIrectiva is the Board for the RSO MECHA de UChicago.

MECHA (formerly known as M.E.Ch.A, or the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Atzlan) is a Latinx/e student organization dedicated to addressing the issues concerning the Latinx/e community through community service, activism, and education. We are engaged in protests on or off campus, and we utilize our culture(s) to build spaces of resiliency and empowerment. We attend national and regional meetings to work with other chapters to find new ways to address the needs of our community. We are open to everyone, regardless of background!
