Subject: South Asian poetry reading sessions

Description: Lunchtime Lyrics is an informal weekly gathering for those interested in reading, listening to, and discussing lyric poetry from different parts of South Asia. (12:30 to 1:20pm, Foster 505)

Each week, one of us will present a poem along with our translation; the series is thus a chance for people to share their work (or simply poetry that they enjoy), and for others to learn more about poetic traditions with which they might not be familiar. Most of all, Lunchtime Lyrics is intended to be a space for enjoying poetry (which is always easier when you have the assistance of someone intimately familiar with it)!
