Thank you for subscribing and welcome to the Disability Inclusion Resource Group! The Disability Inclusion Resource Group supports both the University and the medical center by promoting initiatives that enhance access and opportunities for equal participation in employment and education for individuals with disabilities. Open to all students, faculty, and employees, regardless of disability status, the group focuses on identifying and removing barriers while providing resources and support for academic and professional growth. The group’s main objectives include organizational advocacy, peer-to-peer mentorship, and leadership development. Additionally, it aims to build partnerships with disability-focused community organizations and offer tools and technologies to support anyone in the UChicago community who may have disability-related needs. Lastly, the group will organize and promote educational events to raise awareness about the experiences of the disability community.
