Subject: Critical Social Science Initiative - Faculty & Affiliates

Description: The Critical Social Science Initiative is a space for scholarly discussion, analysis and experimentation. Housed within the Department of Sociology at the University of Chicago, it merges the functions of UC’s Council of Advanced Studies’ Workshop system with the conventional lecture series, departmental colloquia and professional seminars. Students, faculty and invited guests from other institutions will share, discuss and improve their research projects in regular meetings and special events or conferences.
